O kuduro angolano é hoje conhecido na França em toda a França! Em conversas, bares, discotecas e grandes eventos desportivos, a dança do “gueto” marca forte presença nos convívios franceses, onde muitos naturais e emigrantes têm a música como toque telefónico.

Tal como em Angola, “O Comba”, de Bruno M, toca em França. O estilo musical tornou-se tradição nas festas de emigrantes e europeus. Conquistou as cidades francesas, e os cabo-verdianos fazem questão de se reclamarem, nas rádios, como donos desta dança africana.

Didi Barreira, licenciado em informática e promotor de eventos musicais em França, tem sensibilizado a comunidade angolana a acabar com as informações deturpadas por parte dos cabo-verdianos. “Sinto imensa raiva quando vejo cabo-verdianos a assumirem as origens do kuduro e ainda a dançam para convencer aos franceses, que pagam avultadas quantias para ouvir e ver dançar o estilo”, lamentou.

Didi Barreira conta que tudo aconteceu quando os cabo-verdianos começaram a organizar festas e eventos
para todas as comunidades e passaram a introduzir o kuduro. O organizador de festas informa que o kuduro começou a tocar no sul da França, na cidade de Nice, Marselha e mais tarde em Paris.

O estilo passou a ser apreciado pelos franceses e constitui agora uma fonte rentável para os cabo-verdianos, que assumem a sua proveniência.

“Quando o kuduro passa a ser valorizado pelos franceses, os cabo-verdianos incutiram nas mentes das pessoas que a origem da dança nasceu na sua cidade”, referiu. “Para minha revolta, durante a realização do campeonato da 1ª divisão, quando a equipa do Nice jogou em Paris e ganhou, os jogadores começaram a dançar no relvado e, no final, afirmaram aos jornalistas que o kuduro surgiu de Cabo-Verde. Confessa que se sentiu triste e que tudo é responsabilidade dos ilhéus.

Didi Barreira diz ainda que depois o kuduro era emitido na rádio com informações de que predominava nas cidades de Cabo-Verde. “Já cheguei mesmo a ligar para uma rádio que toca música africana, a explica a origem do kuduror, mas eles disseram que é tudo África e que as suas afirmações são feitas em função das declarações dos cabo-verdianos”.

Certo dia, “começámos a levantar a polémica da actual situação que deixa todos os angolanos descontentes”, referiu. Actualmente, passa um vídeo no YouTube, de expressão francesa, com o nome “angodidas”, que significa Angola e o Didas.
O coordenador de eventos classifica de “péssima” a actual situação, pelo facto de existir uma numerosa comunidade cabo-verdiana em França, que se apodera do estilo musical. Didi Barreira avança que a comunidade angolana é uma minoria em relação à cabo-verdeana e da República Democrática do Congo.

Iº Aniversário do Podcast do Afrikya!!!

Embora sem perfazer o pleno dos meses do ano 2008, foi há um ano que pusemos na rede mundial o primeiro Podcast angolano que acompanha semanalmente os périplos musicais do AFRIKYA, programa de rádio emitido todos os domingos de manhã pela LAC (Luanda Antena Comercial) - 95.5 em FM.

O primeiro périplo deste ano de 2009 percorre a análise publicada no Jornal de Angola por Jomo Fortunato onde o analista musicólogo angolano se encanta e nos encanta com o Canto Nostálgico de Eleutério Sanches.

O encontro entre a música de Bach com os ritmos tradicionais africanos resultaram num belo trabalho musical: Lambarena - Bach for Africa

Strange, uh? Not really, it's part of Kuduros style, to have a big mouth over others Kuduristas. Against or pro, but always with a big big mouth!!!

Os Defaya again just to show that this Kudurofiles site it's really about underground, obscure, ghetto and garage Kuduro from Angola.

Sure, sometimes some mainstream Kuduro is poping in order to perspectivate the Kuduro moovement in all his global aspects.

But this "Why No" from Defaya takes me out of serious! You see!!! The music is very absurd, no rhythm to dance, no minimal effort to sing or to Mc blabling.

However, the lyrics are really dark, almost sad. They talk about litlle expectations about the city, focusing in Sambizanga Museke (one million souls) where ther's no water, no public light, and so on. Even the laughs that we ear are no fun, more a sort of madnes, maybe dispair.

"Inove", the success from 2008 from Os Vagabanda. It starts to be earded everywhere, in kandongueiro's blue vans, in a group of friends drinking bears stoped at theborder of the roads. Earded from homes inside, with a party or whithout a party.

"Inove! - Assim é que tá bater!", is the cry from Luanda youth, and it means that things are going alright!

Let me translate it to you:

"Inove" it's an abreviation/neologism from a question.

Like: "How are things going in the Summer?"

The answer: "It's beating!" (Going well)

So, in portugese:

Question - "Inove?" = "E no Verão?"

Answer - "Tá Bater!" = (Está muito bem)

Elocubration:

"It is Summering?"

"Yeah!, it's beatin up!"

Nacobeta e Puto Português - "Sele Mama"

As you're guessing, sometimes, angolan Kuduristas, they put out a new song and as a test or by competition, this new song takes a tittle that is retaked by a group of three or four different songs by differents stars and with the same melodys(!) or not!

Sometimes, only a bit (beat!) of a new refrain is taken for different songs (ou mi mata, ou quê!), with different titles.

In this case, "Sele Mama" from Nacobeta e Puto Português it's a different song but with the same title and a similar refrain than "Sele Mama" from Noite e Dia.

Day Doy - "JMPLA"

This is an unknow song with no success at all and with one of the most myserable lyrics I have ever eard in Kuduro. Celebrating the youth organization from the rulling partie with the apropriated apologetic electoral moment expressed howhever has an unsual polyrhythm bass and also some congas that I love.

Salut mes amis. Amis de la musique Kuduro de Angola, amis de la musique de dance et de la créativité qui se débrouille avec (plutôt sans) ses moyens.

La musique du ghetto, la musique des musekes de Luanda, qui a pris la ville et tout un pays entier par le beat, qui est devenue mainstream mais qui maintient son allure polémique.

Dans notre podomatic de Kuduro on tient l'intention de divulguer le Kuduro le plus obscure qui a la chance d'être publié dans un CD-R sans une couverture, au moins, et qu'avec le noms de chansons et des musiciens, mainte fois, avec une graphie douteuse et dispare, sur la contre couverture dans un papier de 80 de gramage imprimée d'une mauvaise imprimant doméstique, ink-jet.

C'est le cas de Os Kambridgianos que je n'ai jamais entendu parler depuis, ni avant cette musique qu'on vous présent ici.

Un mois après notre dérnière "Podage", je ne vais pas vous ennuyer, en trop, mais il y a deux mois j'ai eu une grande panne dans mon ordi, et aprés, un trojan. J'ai réussi a recuperer mes fichiers, redémarrer mon ordi, virer le trojan, et je suis près à vous délivrer des nouveaux beats de Kuduro régulièrement!

Et j'ai plein des nouveaux projects, deux au minimum: un Podomatic de vídeos de Kuduro (ça n'éxiste à peine sur iTunes!) et je vais vous présenter la version algolaise du Drum and Bass de Bristol. Et ça va me faire rechanger de langue car c'est impossible parler de Drum and Bass sans qu'on le fasse dans la langue de William, et de Champignon, et 3D.

About the meaning of "Combóio" music. It speakes about the Police night cars that round the city all night long as a train and that are the terror of the girls, or who as the mal chance of be stoped by the blue foncé night falcons.

Police agents should be a symbol of security, but is better to not be in the way of those ones. "Thye're are coming, Combóio, it must be big!"
